The Resort

How can I contact the resort?

When is the resort open?

The Lilac Resort operates on a seasonal schedule April 15 to October 15 of each year. The Tiki Bar and hot tubs open May Long Weekend. The Water Park opens the first weekend of June and closes the end of the September Long Weekend.

What are your hours of operation?

The Office is open daily from 8am until 10pm throughout the months of June, July and August. During the rest of the year we have reduced office hours but will always answer emails and return phone messages promptly.

The Water Park is open starting the first weekend of June through September Long Weekend. Hours are 9am until 10pm daily for all guests. Guests must be 13 years or older to remain in the Water Park without a parent or guardian. All times posted are weather permitting.

The Tiki Juice Bar and Hot Tubs are open May Long Weekend through to mid September. Open until Midnight weather permitting.

What is the minimum age required to reserve at the Resort?

Guests must be over the age of 18 and hold a valid Visa or MasterCard to reserve a campsite, lodge or deluxe cabin.

I’m under the age of 18. Can my parents drop me off with my friends so that we can use the Water Park for the day?

No. Your safety is of utmost importance to us. You must be 18 years of age, or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to remain in the park and use our facilities.

I’m under the age of 25. Why do I need a $200 damage deposit when booking a site at the Resort?

Rather than discriminate against younger guests and deny booking with them, we take a preauthorized deposit in the amount of $200 for security reasons on check in day. This is to protect the investment of our company property. It is only processed if malicious or purposeful damage is done to the Resort or the enjoyment of others. Remember that the Resort is a family park, and while enjoyment is encouraged, discretion and moderation are required by all patrons to ensure that everyone has a fun, safe and enjoyable vacation. The damage deposit is held in preauthorization pattern on your credit card during your holiday. It should never appear on your statement unless detailed in the above circumstances. If you do not own a credit card, the Resort will accept the $200 deposit by cash or debit.

How do I get to Lilac Resort?

Directions from WINNIPEG: Head east on Fermor. Continue east down Fermor, until it becomes the Trans Canada HWY #1. Follow the HWY, about 20 minutes, until you see Lilac on the right hand side.

Directions from STEINBACH: Head north on HWY #12. Take the East exit for HWY #1, Kenora. Follow the HWY until you see Lilac on the right hand side.

Directions from KENORA: Head northwest on Second Street South, toward Matheson Street South. Take 2nd right onto Main Street South. Continue onto King’s HWY #17/ Lakeview Drive. Continue to follow King’s Hwy #17. Turn left to stay on King’s HWY #17, entering Manitoba. Continue on Trans Canada HWY #1, for approximately 109 km. Turn left on Lilac Road.

Camping & Lodging

What time is check in/out?

Check In time for RV and Tent Sites and all Lodging Units is anytime after 3pm.

Check Out for Lodging Units is 11am, but guests may use the facilities until 2pm.

Check Out for RV and Tent Sites is 2pm. You are welcome to arrive and depart as you like from the property.

**Late check outs will be charged a full day’s rate**

Is use of the amenities and entertainment included or do I have to pay extra?

The use of the Lilac Resort’s amenities, outdoor sports courts, pools, hot tubs, waterslides, live entertainment and activities is included when reserving through the Lilac Resort. Dino Carts can be rented for a fee based upon duration of usage.

Do we need to bring coins with us to the shower and pay to use them?

At the Lilac Resort showers are included in your camping rates. So relax, leave your change at home, and enjoy a nice hot shower. The showers located in the washroom buildings all have individual stalls.

Can I bring my own Fire Wood?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own fire wood into the park, or you can purchase wood at the office.

I am traveling from the United States, what documentation do I require at the border?

Have your Passport readily available. This will expedite your entrance into Canada.

I am staying in a Lodging Unit/Deluxe Cabin, what am I required to bring?

Each Deluxe Cabin or Lodge comes fully equipped with all kitchen items, satellite TV, deck, patio furniture, BBQ, fire pit, coffee maker, microwave, bar fridge, AC, pillows, linens, blankets and bathroom linens.

You will need to travel with your own beach towels, toiletries, food, and a desire to have FUN!

Why do I need a $400 damage deposit when renting a Lodging Unit?

We take a preauthorized $400 amount for security reasons on check in day. This is to protect the investment of our company property. Remember that the Resort is a family park, and while enjoyment is encouraged, discretion and moderation are required by all patrons to ensure that everyone has a fun, safe and enjoyable vacation. How can I book my holiday?

Our reservation team works 7 days a week 8am to 10pm daily, with reduced hours throughout September, October, November, December, January, February, March and April. We can be reached at 1-866-388-6095 or by email, and will return all calls and emails in the order recieved. We require a minimum deposit of 50% at time of booking via Visa or MasterCard, with the balance of your holiday automatically billed 30 days prior to your arrival date. You can also book online. When using this option payment for your holiday will be required at the time of booking. Please be advised that there is a $10.00 non-refundable reservation fee.

Does my seasonal site, lodging unit or camp site have telephone/internet access?

There are no phone lines to the sites or lodges. If you need to be contacted in the case of emergency, interested parties can call 1-866-388-6095 and a message can be delivered to your site or unit. We have wireless internet access available around our Tiki Bar so laptops can be used in its general vicinity for free.

I am staying at the Lilac Resort. Am I allowed to have guests?

Each of our units and sites accommodate a maximum of 6 overnight guests at the time of booking. All other visitors are required to pay entrance to the Resort based upon what they will be accessing for the day.

Are pets allowed at the Resort?

We allow only non-aggressive pets to be brought on holiday, no matter the size or breed. They must remain on a leash at all times, with the owner responsible for clean up at all times. Please leave chronic barkers at home. Pets are not permitted in the Lodging Units to ensure allergy sensitive guests can book at the Resort. Pets are not permitted in the Water Park. Pets are not permitted in any of the Resort Buildings.

Are golf carts included in the cost of booking?

No. The golf carts seen cruising around the Resort are used by staff and management, or are the private property of seasonal guests. If you own a cart, you are welcome to bring it on site. Guests must be 16 years of age or older and hold a valid drivers license in order to operate any motorized vehicle on Resort property.

What are the best directions to the Resort?

We are located right off HWY #1, 20 minutes east of Winnipeg.

Seasonals

Is the Resort planning to expand?

No, at this time we are not planning on creating any new seasonal lots. The quickest way to become a member of the Lilac Resort is to purchase a site from an existing lease holder.

If we enquire about a Seasonal Site at the Resort, will there be any pressure?

We guarantee a pressure free environment. Our role is to help you see if owning a Seasonal Site is right for your family. We are simply here to give you all the information you desire.

When can we come to see the facilities?

From May Long Weekend – September Long Weekend, you are welcome to view the facilities 7 days a week. For off season viewing please contact us prior to visiting.

Do you provide financing?

No.

Can we rent our site out to cover our costs?

No. Rental of property is prohibited. Friends or relatives may occupy a unit in the Seasonal Lease Holders’ absence, but must register at the office with written permission from the Lease Holders.

I already have an RV; will you take it in a trade?

While we will not take the value of your RV and apply it to your Seasonal fees, we will help you sell it. For a one time fee of $10.00 we will post your listing in the classifieds section of our website.

Can we choose where our site is located?

We have sites, currently for sale, located all over the Resort, guaranteed to suit all tastes. Each family has different needs, so the choice is yours.

A Seasonal Site is for sale. What am I buying?

When purchasing a site at Lilac Resort you are buying the right to the Seasonal Agreement and existing contents on the site.

Is it possible to get the service upgraded from 30 or 50 amp to something higher?

No, as per our seasonal terms and conditions: Every site is supplied with 30 amp service with the exception of Outback Lane which is supplied with 50 amp service. This is the power required for RV’s and Park Models. If breakers kick off because of an overload of appliances, the Resident will be required to reduce their power demand. In no circumstances will Management increase the power supply.
