It is very important to use local firewood throughout Manitoba to slow the spread of Dutch Elm disease. The transport of Ash firewood and all firewood out of the City of Winnipeg has been banned following the discovery of the deadly Emerald Ash Borer Beetle in the city http://woodlotmanitoba.com/wood-wise/. Burning Elm firewood or Ash firewood is not permitted in the Resort. Firewood bundles are available for purchase at the office.
